The outside surface temperature during dive preparations was -25 degrees C and we put the Stinger gels and Protein bars to the test.
The gels were thicker than usual but still perfectly edible, tasty and required!
The Protein bars did stiffen up but we can report that in some of the worst conditions experienced on Planet Earth they could still be eaten easily posing no risk to dentstry.

So - if you are an explorer, climber, mountain rescuer, guide or cold enthusiast - pack some Stingers and enjoy energy at extremes!

:

The Hibernation Diet published by Souvenir Press is a new approach to weight control and overall health.
Using Honey to stabilise liver glucose levels it can reduce stress, increase energy and improve the production of fat burning hormones.  The diet recommends Stinger gels before bed and Stinger bars as snacks.

Team ISO - The BicycleWorks complete the Wilderness Arc Adventure Race...  They crossed the line at 09:02:32 PM in 9th (last) place.  Not as bad as it sounds - they had endured some of the worst weather Scotland could throw at them including 100mph winds and horizontal sleet!  They may have come last but there were 29 teams on the start line and such names as Nike and The North Face didn't make the end...
